Lately a lot of Joe Landsdale-I just discovered him, first I read his book of short stories, then the Bottoms, I been hooked since, I love Larry Brown R.I.P. Man, Everything-From true crime to Rock and Roll Stories Mostly Drama and Modern literature though. But I love Charles Bukowski, He speaks my fuckin' language and actually got rich doing so. I grew up reading stacks and stacks of books a week my mother is a librarian, there was no Mom I'm bored cause she'd stick my nose in a book and very early on I realised I liked that better than TV. I like to use my own imagination, Most the writers I read can create strong enough images for my vivid imagination to grab and run. I really can't say enough about reading for pleasure. It has literally saved my life. Anytime I been Field Trippin there's always been several books in my bag-Which once worked against me I was Hitchin' through Kentucy, got a ride with some good ole boys and they zero'd in on the fact I was reading queer by William Burroughs. It got real Ugly. That ride ended very abruptly and violently. Oh well, I was in another car within' 30 min. that time I stashed my book Growin' up my Mom would bring me mostly Horror stories, Clive Barker, Steven King, Deen Koonts, John Sual, and Names I'll never remember. But I was the kid with a guitar in one hand a Book in the other and a pencil behind my ear. I love to write too. I grew up on a 50 acre farm in southern Ohio, Manchester to be exact. There's not a lot to do, winters especially. BOOKS-READING really is Golden. I'm reading Russell Banks and Ethan Coen right now.
