Judd McIlvain has been seen on CBS-2 News for 10 years, and Fox TV 11 News for 2 years in LA. For two years he was the producer and host on the Trouble Shooter TV Show. Judd has also hosted the Troubleshooter Talk Show on KRLA am and KLSX 97.1 fm talk radio. He has worked in Broadcasting in LA for 21 out of his 54 years in Broadcasting. He is now broadcasting an Internet TV talk show and radio show on AdviceRadio.com. Judd has been in the TV and Radio News Business for 54 years, he began his first TV when he was 12.

Plus Judd could be seen on the CBS News Magazine 48 Hours. At the turn of the century Judd broadcasted a Special Millennium Documentary with Dan Rather on CBS. Judd outlined the fasted growing crime in the USA.

Besides being on Radio and TV, Judd McIlvain is a syndicated columnist. You can read Judd's consumer columns in the award winning Valley Magazine and in the State wide California Home Owners Newspaper. Judd has worked at eight different TV stations and six radio stations in the USA. Judd has also worked around the world for UPI. He covered Central America and South America for UPI.

He worked at the CBS-TV affiliate in Houston, Texas, for 18 years. He was the assignment editor/ producer, general reporter, and investigative reporter. In 1986 Rupert Murdoch, the owner of Fox-TV, brought Judd to L.A. to be the Troubleshooter on the Fox TV station, KTTV.

In 1988 Judd was hired by KCBS-TV and moved his Troubleshooter operation to CBS. Judd was at KCBS for 10 years.

In 1998 Judd worked for the CBS radio stations KRLA, and KLSX. In 2000 Judd also worked for KRLA when it became a Salem Broadcast Station. In 2005 he began broadcasting on AdviceRadio.com.

Judd has done stories on CBS' 48 Hours with Dan Rather. Judd worked with Dan in Houston, Texas in the late 60's. Judd also helped produce stories for Geraldo Rivera at ABC's 20/20. Judd was often on Geraldo's syndicated show until the fighting and chair throwing began. (This was not Judd’s type of broadcasting journalism.)

Judd has won two LA Emmys, eight Golden Mikes, and four L.A. Press Club awards for outstanding TV reporting. One was for outstanding reporting during the LA riots. He also received Texas' highest award for investigative reporting, the Headliners Award. Judd now has a consumer-informative web site, www.TroubleshooterJudd.com. He is also broadcasting an Internet consumer action Radio and TV talk show. So many people want to talk to Judd about consumer problems and scams. Judd has a BJ, 65 from the University of Missouri. He has done graduate studies at the Instituto de Monterrey, Mexico, and at the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. He has completed extension courses in teaching college classes. Judd also speaks Spanish.

Judd has taught at the University of Houston, Texas, and Columbia School of Broadcast, in Los Angeles.
