I started my thirst for music in the early 80's while attending many High School parties throughout Chicago. I began collecting music and spinning in 85 as a hobby. I mostly played tracks during those days but soon switched to tunes with vocals after listening to Frankie Knuckles one night at a High School party. The late 80's is when I switched my taste to what we view here in Chicago as "The Classics". This was the time I began spining for hire at several birthday parties, backyard parties and weddings. The 90's for me was a crazy time with music. So many various forms of House jumped on the scene. Garage House, Acid House, Progressive House, Deep House, Techno House, Jungle House, Ghetto House, Homeless House, "What the hell you call that" House. You get my drift? If you blinked, you missed it. I even had the pleasure of being booked at a few Raves in Chi which were probably the biggest turn out parties of my career. Now that I'm older, I find that the only Genre that really speaks to my soul is Disco, Funk and Soul from the 70's. That's where I am in this stage of my life. I do, however, listen to some Neo Soul stuff as long as it has a meaning. :-) I spend most of my spare time on my website "BringTheHeat.Com" where you'll find several of Chicago's DJ and Musical talent. It's a community for serious Disco, Soul, Funk & Boogie enthusiasts.
