About Me
Born in a small town in Western Tennessee...music has been a crucial part of my life since I was a child. I grew up around gospel and christian music in the church and country music here in the South. Growing up, my own musical ambitions and emotions became stronger. In 4th grade I began playing the Alto Saxophone and continued on with lessons and classes for 7 more years. During high school I had the fortunate opportunity to march in the 1998 Orange Bowl Parade and also perform with my high school award-winning band during the Orange Bowl Halftime Show with Jon Secada. During this time I also played one of the lead roles in my high school production of 'Fiddler on the Roof' as Perchik, the teacher with a duet/solo "Now I Have Everything." This was the first time I had audition for any production so to be picked as a lead was very exciting. As a junior in high school I finally realized that I knew I had a gift and honed on my voice with an audition for private vocal lessons at the University of West Florida. I was accepted and continued studying and training for another year. In 2001 I moved to Orlando, FL to pursue my entertainment career. I immediately auditioned and became the lead male vocalist in 'Next Generation' a Co-Ed PoP/RnB group independently-based out of Orlando, FL. During this time we recorded two songs "Down, Down (I Freak You Up)" and "The Crying Game" both written by Adrian Jeremiah of Next Generation. During my time in the group we did several gigs including an appearance on Hyla's Saturday Night Radio Show on XL 106.7 FM and also at Pointe Orlando. We were also vocally trained for a short time by former 'The All New Mickey Mouse Club' Disney actress and fellow KAR Records, INC recording artist Jennifer McGill who is now a performer in Orlando and great vocalist/coach. We worked closely with Producer and Recording Artist Dana Kamide who produced 'Down Down (I Freak You Up)' which was truly an honor. During my time in the group we also went through several changes including different members and a new name, NuVision. It was also during this time that I became good friends with Amy Matthews, songwriter, artist and co-founder of KAR Records, INC. Several years after joining along with the change in genre in the overall commercial music scene I left the group to pursue school and a hopeful solo music career. In the Fall of '07 Amy signed Shaun to her independent label KAR Records, INC. and began writing the songs for my demo.
Favorite Movies:
I like horror, comedy, drama, romance, historical (Elizabeth, The Patriot), and all other genres...I'm pretty much up for anything when it comes to movies! Just saw 'The Other Boleyn Girl' and 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' both were great I thought!

Favorite Music:
Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, Alicia Keys, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Martina McBride, Deborah Cox, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Willie Nelson, Tamia Jennifer Hudson, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Rufus Wainwright, Whitney Houston, Deborah Cox, Ceevox, Gladys Knight & her Pips, Carrie Underwood, MARTINA McBride, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Laura Branigan, Vickie Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Dionne Warwick, the list goes on and on and on through every genre... I love all sorts of music and genres...my tastes are very wide when it comes to music. DANCE beats and HOUSE make me feel the groove but, I grew up playing instruments so I enjoy classical; however, I LOVE to sing Pop/Rock/RnB/Soul etc...I also like country...and some hip hop...and GOSPEL - it all began with GOSPEL music for me so I truly respect that and love to hear the meaning and vocals behind all that encompasses Gospel and Christian music

Favorite Books:
One of my favorite all time books is Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurtson and THE COLOR PURPLE by Alice Walker also love Alice in Wonderland... ALSO just finished LESLIE JORDAN'S My Trip Down The Pink Carpet (GREAT BOOK - I could so relate growing up in the church and in the south)
